Following the completion of his medical degree at the University of Queensland, he completed four years of surgical rotations within QLD Health as well as two years of advanced surgical training with the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine (ACCSM), earning the esteemed Colin Moore Gold Medal Award for Excellence.

A consultation for labiaplasty is a crucial step in the preparation process. It offers the chance to meet with Dr. Ian Chinsee and his surgical team, gather detailed information about the procedure, and discuss any potential risks and complications. During the consultation, you'll have the opportunity to outline your goals and gain a clear understanding of what results are achievable based on your unique situation.

Before your first consultations , you will be required to obtain a referral from their GP, complete a body dysmorphic disorder screening questionnaire. Prior to booking a surgical date you must attend at least two pre-operative consultations.

Required at weeks 1, 2, & 3 with an Inigo Cosmetic nurse or your GP. You may need additional dressing changes depending on recovery.

Recovery varies from patient to patient. Patients can experience some pain, aches, pressure, itchiness, swelling and discomfort, generally lasting up to two weeks. We prescribe oral pain medication after your procedure to assist with pain and discomfort.

Following the operation, patients will require a dressing change at one week intervals for a period of two weeks, some patients will require additional dressing changes depending on their healing process. Out of Town Patients will be provided with a letter containing detailed dressing change instructions to give to their GP if they cannot attend dressing change appointments at the Brisbane clinic.

Most patients should expect to take around one week off work. Patients can usually return to their normal activities, including gym exercises from week six, once you have had approval from Dr chINSEE.

There may be swelling and bruising after the procedure. Major swelling usually subsides by three months, and the final results are noticeable between six months and one year.

We will schedule post-operative appointments throughout the following year. These appointments can be conducted virtually or in person at our rooms in Brisbane.
